Long story short: OMFGWTFBBQ where did the last month go?!?? I'll tell you where it went: me stuck in a cube with no way to internetz without everyone seeing me and my phone post blocking my FF efforts. Why do you think I'm so excited about the office: no one can see my monitors!!! =D

Imma have to ingratiate myself a bit more to be able to get away with slippers at work. Although I could make a pretty convincing argument that they're business casual, and the fit the no open toe requirements....

Dave is doing well. Still no word on the promotion he applied for: our theory is they're seeing if they can get the job done without a manager and will never hire anyone for the job. He went on a bike trip to Indianapolis this past weekend for a motorcycle meetup while I and my no-vacation time self stayed at home and off the interstate. He still has surface numbness from the knee down; saw the neuro on Tuesday and the official verdict is "everyone heals differently". Not a very satisfying answer =/

Not right now, though he had a scare a 2 (3?) weeks ago with some sciatic pain rearing its ugly head. Nothing particularly serious but enough to remind him he actually is still healing. And yeah, the slippers are awesome. Target in case anyone else needs a pair!!

The move into the office happened this week, yesterday and today to be exact. I wasn't planning on moving until today (dress down Fridays make climbing under desks easier) but new boss switched my phone line a day early so I had to crawl around and move whilst wearing a skirt. Good tihng I'm a derby girl, otherwise I mighta been a bit mortified.

Talk about timing. I had to listen to the KQED pledge drive on the way home from work (I was too lazy to switch over to the CD player, I guess) and there were volunteers in the studio from the SF Roller Derby. When they mentioned them, I thought of you and wondered how you were doing. :-)
