And this year was even richer because my daughter was godmother to the first-grader you see in the video. I'm so proud!
It is a privilege to be one of the discussion facilitators for our "Pilgrims in Christ" process, to journey with those preparing for baptism
I'm blessed to belong to a parish with a rich catechumenal process. A tiny taste of our glorious Easter Vigil: https://t.co/MdXyZkYWkG
Be like Jesus! Be who you are. Do not be afraid. Be like a balloon and fill yourself with faith. Float to the sky. Live life equally. If someone is different, include them. You are you and you are great like Jesus. Make people happy and you will be happy. Live in your own glory! - http://undercovernun.tumblr.com/post...
I must be at the right point in my career to manage people, because this is the first time the idea of it has terrified me.
@thegayscientist Gee, it's too bad our language doesn't have any pronouns to represent inanimate objects, like maybe clouds.
John, the boss, established T-Shirt Tuesday. My shirt says: wtfwjd? Best response: "It can't be Jesus, so it must be John." #facepalm
RT @freesermons: Be happy. It drives people crazy.
@opwest @cherilyntx I love the emphasis, in Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, on God's love for the little. Before God, we all are little.
RT @opwest: "Obedience raises us beyond the limits of our littleness and puts us in harmony with God's will." --Saint Maximilian Kolbe, #pray for us.
RT @UnvirtuousAbbey: 'There is no greater love,' says the Lord, 'then to get your friend a caffeinated beverage.'
Morning at the coffeeshop: Mac & Cheese just delivered to a child. Whoever decreed Mac & Cheese an acceptable breakfast should be sainted.
@pastordan Indeed! When I hear it, my aesthetic sensors register beauty, as with a sunset or symphony. Have you spent time in Virginia?
Writing is HARD. There are so many wonderful distractions to engage in! #backtothesaltmine
I realize I'm fortunate to love the local accent. I know others who find their local or hometown accent grating.
It sounds a lot like a Scots accent or even "Canadian." Aboot, agaynst. Not sure how to spell the sound of long I. This accent = my home.
I love that accent. We have that on the Eastern Shore in a few places. - m9m, Crone of FriendFeed
Morning at the coffeeshop: Hearing the old native Tidewater accent. I haven't heard it from anyone younger than ~70, which saddens me.
@svyashennaya I've been intrigued, watching @CCelticCross community grow. I love the Episcopal Church, but it can be so frustrating!
RT @IDFrabbi: For the LORD G-d is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly.
Sat morning at the coffeeshop: toddler in stroller dons Mom's sunglasses upside down. Hangs off the side mugging for everyone. Many smiles!
Okay. Finished up all the little tasks. Now to plug in the headphones, turn off email, and get some writing done!
@StBarnabasWelly @heavensby @giles_morrison Or just about anything beginning with "If you'd only..."
@heavensby @StBarnabasWelly @giles_morrison I can tell you lots of things to NOT say! The best may be, "I'm listening. Tell me about it."
@StBarnabasWelly @CNotC @giles_morrison I am SO familiar with that feeling. Sometimes we really need God with skin on.
