First Jesus Jones gig for 2014 is next weekend. We're pretty much there with rehearsals, just got to sort out some more logistics, and we're done. I'm getting a huge buzz from being in the band at the moment, as each year passes, I appreciate it more and more.
RT is a weird ass channel. It's Russian propaganda, right? And Griff will never change. You should see Bill Adler's comments on Griff, which are sympathetic to his base point of view, but don't extend to his specifics.

The artist who lays eggs with her vagina – or why performance art is so silly | Art and design | theguardian.com - http://www.theguardian.com/artandd...
"Performance artist Milo Moiré creates abstract paintings by pushing eggs filled with paint and ink out of her vaginal canal. She does this while standing naked in front of an audience. The nudity, apparently, is artistically essential."

"The Bradley Timepiece, a watch designed for blind people and named after a Paralympian gold medallist who lost his sight in Afghanistan, is up for design of the year at London's Design Museum. But it's mostly being bought by sighted people"

I've had a chromebook for about two weeks now - love it. It's changed my life in much the same way the iphone did. My Macbook Air has just sat on a shelf, totally redundant.
Louis Gray will be very pleased to hear that. And he will hear it because he never sleeps.

It's light, convenient, and fast enough for browsing. It's faults are compensated by the fact I can always use my iMac for tasks which need occasional "grunt", and by the fact it's so cheap....

I've really loved mine - it is a bit creaky at this point, so I might replace it soon, but had the same experience. Made my other laptop mostly redundant.

Grateful for family, good friends and neighbours today - the perfect tonic for a slightly hungover afternoon. The first BBQ of the season, wine and smiles with the locals. Life's good.
"Gardiner set himself the goal of engaging 50,000 followers, and whatever you think of the morality of it, the tactics he used were smart. Football fans are obsessed with transfer rumours, and the most respected voices – rightly or wrongly – are journalists, who supporters believe have an inside track on any deals going through. So, first as Dominic Jones, until a real writer for Goal alerted Twitter, and then Samuel Rhodes, Gardiner used their made-up credentials and his knowledge of European football to start spreading gossip."

"A German DJ has become an archaeologist of funk. He travels around Africa searching for old, unwanted and often moulding LPs, gets them reissued and then plays them at his gigs around the world."

Very interesting. Just when you think that some markets can never be disrupted someone comes along and...well, I think it will take a long time for this to gain any traction, but I love the fact that he's doing it.

"A school dropout from a poor family in southern India has revolutionised menstrual health for rural women in developing countries by inventing a simple machine they can use to make cheap sanitary pads."

"In 1982 the French international Jean-Pierre Adams went to hospital and was given anaesthetic that should have knocked him out for a few hours. 32 years later, he has yet to awake"

Wow thats really sad. I never know about this case.. Thanks for sharing !

Amazing that the hospital cannot contribute more after their malpractice. Elsewhere after a successful lawsuit there would have been funds to cover a professional nurse and care, rather than rely on the wife.
