A complex system that works is invariably found to have evolved from a simple system that worked. A complex system designed from scratch never works and cannot be patched up to make it work. You have to start over with a working simple system. - http://x0.tumblr.com/post...
"All things are poison and nothing is without poison, only the dose makes that a thing is not a poison." — Paracelsus, often considered the founder of toxicology
"A drive is a motivational system to deal with life-or-death issues, like hunger or being too cold. You're not going to die if you don't have sex."

"Spontaneous desire is totally fun. But you're not broken just because you're not experiencing it. Spontaneous desire isn't necessary for sexual pleasure. Is it more important that people crave sex than it is that they enjoy the sex they're having? One of the best ways to make your sex life suck is to genuinely believe that the way you're experiencing sexual desire is dysfunctional."

While I don't know if the Apple Watch will be as revolutionary as the iPhone was, I wouldn't be surprised if it follows in the footsteps of the iPad—a seemingly marginal incremental product that every one is sure no one really needs/wants that somehow changes our expectations for what mobile computing should be like.

Iowa grants gun permits to the blind - USA Today - 2013 Sep 8 http://www.usatoday.com/story... - someone posted this on FB today. I can't believe I missed it the first time around. #NotTheOnion
Well, different permits for owning versus carrying in public depending on the state (from what I understand, in many jurisdictions and depending on the type of gun, you don't need a permit just to purchase/own) and according to the article the permit in Iowa allows blind people to carry firearms in public. But I think there's an analogy between buying a car/buying a gun versus driving a car/carrying a loaded gun in public.
