Adaptive immune system - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki...
Functions Adaptive immunity is triggered in vertebrates when a pathogen evades the innate immune system and generates a threshold level of antigen.[1] The major functions of the adaptive immune system include: the recognition of specific “non-self” antigens in the presence of “self”, during the process of antigen presentation. the generation of responses that are tailored to maximally eliminate specific pathogens or pathogen infected cells. the development of immunological memory, in which each pathogen is “remembered” by a signature antibody. These memory cells can be called upon to quickly eliminate a pathogen should subsequent infections occur. BDI ] Procedural reasoning system http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki... File:PRS.gif - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki...
In artificial intelligence, a procedural reasoning system (PRS) is a framework for constructing real-time reasoning systems that can perform complex tasks in dynamic environments. It is based on the notion of a rational agent or intelligent agent using the BDI belief–desire–intention software model. A user application is predominately defined, and provided to a PRS system is a set of knowledge areas. Each knowledge area is a piece of procedural knowledge http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki... that specifies how to do something, e.g., how to navigate down a corridor, or how to plan a path (in contrast with robotic architectures where the programmer just provides a model of what the states of the world are and how the agent's primitive actions affect them). Such a program, together with a PRS interpreter, is used to control the agent. The interpreter is responsible for maintaining beliefs about the world state, choosing which goals to attempt to achieve next, and choosing which knowledge area to apply in the current situation. How exactly these operations are performed might depend on domain-specific meta-level knowledge areas. Unlike traditional AI planning systems that generate a complete plan at the beginning, and replan if unexpected things happen, PRS interleaves planning and doing actions in the world. At any point, the system might only have a partially specified plan for the future. PRS is based on the BDI or belief–desire–intention framework for intelligent agents. Beliefs consist of what the agent believes to be true about the current state of the world, desires consist of the agent's goals, and intentions consist of the agent's current plans for achieving those goals. Furthermore, each of these three components is typically explicitly represented somewhere within the memory of the PRS agent at runtime, which is in contrast to purely reactive systems, such as the subsumption architecture. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki... 10 -24 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki... - Thomas Page

Negotiation theory http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki... Negotiation - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki...
"Negotiation is a dialogue between two or more people or parties, intended to reach an understanding, resolve point of difference, or gain advantage in outcome of dialogue, to produce an agreement upon courses of action, to bargain for individual or collective advantage, to craft outcomes to satisfy various interests of two people/parties involved in negotiation process. Negotiation is a process where each party involved in negotiating tries to gain an advantage for themselves by the end of the process. Negotiation is intended to aim at compromise. Negotiation occurs in business, non-profit organizations, government branches, legal proceedings, among nations and in personal situations such as marriage, divorce, parenting, and everyday life. The study of the subject is called negotiation theory. Professional negotiators are often specialized, such as union negotiators, leverage buyout negotiators, peace negotiators, hostage negotiators, or may work under other titles, such as diplomats, legislators or brokers." , [ what can be negotiated? list of negotiables? Future - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki...
"The future is the indefinite time period after the present. Its arrival is considered inevitable due to the existence of time and the laws of physics. Due to the apparent nature of reality and the unavoidability of the future, everything that currently exists and will exist can be categorized as either permanent, meaning that it will exist for the whole of the future, or temporary, meaning that it won't and thus will come to an end. The future and the concept of eternity have been major subjects of philosophy, religion, and science, and defining them non-controversially has consistently eluded the greatest of minds.[1] It is the opposite of the past.[2] In the Occidental view, which uses a linear conception of time, the future is the portion of the projected time line that is anticipated to occur.[3] In special relativity, the future is considered absolute future, or the future light cone.[4] In physics, time is the fourth dimension of the universe.[5]" , 8 -22 future timelines http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki... , 9 -1 sort Thomas Frey http://www.youtube.com/watch... - Thomas Page

Present - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki...
"The present (or now) is the time that is associated with the events perceived directly and in the first time,[1] not as a recollection (perceived more than once) or a speculation (predicted, hypothesis, uncertain). It is a period of time between the past http://friendfeed.com/citizen... and the future http://friendfeed.com/citizen..., and can vary in meaning from being an instant to a day or longer. In radiocarbon dating, the "present" is defined as AD 1950. It is sometimes represented as a hyperplane in space-time,[2] typically called "now", although modern physics demonstrates that such a hyperplane can not be defined uniquely for observers in relative motion. The present may also be viewed as a duration (see specious present http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki... ).[3][4]" - Thomas Page
The specious present is the time duration wherein one's perceptions are considered to be in the present.[1] Time perception http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki... studies the sense of time, which differs from other senses since time cannot be directly perceived but must be reconstructed by the brain.[ 50000 thoughts a day myth ? Sensory Memory: The sensory memory retains an exact copy of what is seen or heard (visual and auditory). It only lasts for a few seconds, while some theorize it last only 300 milliseconds. It has unlimited capacity. Short-Term Memory (STM) - Selective attention determines what information moves from sensory memory to short-term memory. STM is most often stored as sounds, especially in recalling words, but may be stored as images. It works basically the same as a computer's RAM (Random Access Memory) in that it provides a working space for short computations and then transfers it to other parts of the memory system or discards it. It is thought to be about seven bits in length, that is, we normally remember seven items. STM is vulnerable to interruption or interference. Long-Term Memory - This is relatively permanent storage. Information is stored on the basis of meaning and importance. http://friendfeed.com/citizen... - Thomas Page
Past - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki...
The past is a term used to indicate the totality of events which occurred before a given point in time. The past is contrasted with and defined by the present and the future. The concept of the past is derived from the linear fashion in which human observers experience time, and is accessed through memory and recollection. In addition, human beings have recorded the past since the advent of written language. The past is the object of such fields as history, archaeology, archaeoastronomy, chronology, geology, historical geology, historical linguistics, law, ontology, paleontology, paleobotany, paleoethnobotany, palaeogeography, paleoclimatology, and cosmology. , 5 -16 sort http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki... - Thomas Page
