I like the stuff about parties too: "Mr Obama takes on the hosting duties on Sunday when he holds a Super Bowl party for both Republican and Democratic congressman, including members from the home states of both finalists - the Pittsburgh Steelers, whom the president is backing, and Arizona Cardinals."

Everytime I watch this it brings a smile to my face. There's a journalist interview of a guy demoing the Lisa around, and it's amazing the reaction people got from simple cut-and-paste, stuff we take wholly for granted these days.
- Ray Cromwell
I was actually pretty impressed at his ability to dodge the shoes. Good reactions for someone who mostly has dodged reality for 8 years.

"Experts say that 80 percent of us are likely to respond this way with so-called “behavioral inaction.” Only 10 percent act quickly and decisively. Fortunately, just 10 percent of us act dangerously or counterproductively."

"Pay attention to the safety briefing and information card. Rehearse an escape plan in your mind: What’s your primary exit and your backup? Count the number of rows to each of those two exits. If you can, sit within five rows of any exit; your chances of survival are much greater if you’re within that range. Again, if you can, choose an aisle seat for more mobility. And then, try to relax. Experts say that a stress-induced heart attack is a much greater threat on an airplane than a crash."

" In a highly unusual move, US President Barack Obama retook the oath of office from Chief Justice John Roberts after stumbling when he originally swore-in to become the 44th US president on Tuesday.
The president retook the oath in the Map Room of the White House one day after his inauguration at the US Capitol.
"Are you ready to take the oath?" Roberts asked him.
"I am, and we're going to do it very slowly," Obama said, reciting the oath flawlessly and taking 25 seconds."
- Karen Padham Taylor
Actually I'm wrong too: Obama didn't really fix Roberts' error. He paused to let Roberts fix the error, but when Roberts again repeated the incorrect oath, Obama repeated it after him.

"Book publishers and speaking agents express little interest in what Bush has to say—and not just for political reasons."
- Karen Padham Taylor
"For many of President Bush's critics, the fact that he is now seeking work in the worst job market in a generation is poetic justice."
- Ross Miller
Love it! Bush ran ~20 companies into the ground before he scored a stadium deal for the Rangers (tough feat when yer daddy's president). Why should he start to put his MBA skills to use now? Oh wait, he didn't actually go those classes, did he...

Doh. It only takes up to 40 pics. I want something that tracks where my cats are going....
- Karen Padham Taylor
I think you want something like this: http://www.roameoforpets.com/ I want one too :) but they don't seem to be made small enough for a cat to carry around. Dogs get all the fun toys :(

Also, the robotic kitty on that page scares me.

I'm just waiting for the Obama-is-really-Kenyan conspiracy theorists to chime in and say that since he didn't actually repeat the oath exactly right, he isn't really President. sigh...
