There was an awesome incident in front of my house tonight. There was a car which had clearly been in a major accident parked facing the wrong way on the street, with no debris or damaged cars nearby.
The front airbags deployed, so the driver had a reasonably hard collision. Based on the fact that the whole width of the hood is crushed but the front bumper isn't, he probably hit a truck. There's no damaged truck nearby, so he must have left the scene and ended up on Coventry. Due to tire tracks on the grass between Coventry and Washington near the library, he must have turned off Coventry onto the grass. There is clear plastic debris near the sidewalk by Coventry (proof that the car had already collided), so that's where he must have driven over the curb onto the grass. From there he must have driven into the light pole near the mulberry tree as evidenced by the paint on the pole at bumper height and the fact that there is debris on either side of it. At that point, he must have just decided to park on Washington (partly on the grass, facing against traffic, of course). The dent in the bumper is small, so the crash into the pole must have been at fairly low speed. - Gabe

The minivan said it was getting 26.2 mpg, but the calculator said it was only 25.6 mpg. - Gabe
