It does often feel difficult to do so, though. Nuanced discussion often gets pushed aside in favor of slogans. It is always worth trying.

I see lots of people in my feeds Canonising the staff of Charlie. Chances are they've never even seen a cover or know the context of the situation.

When stuff like this happens, the massive outpouring sometimes causes us to miss the possible exit ramps from the ring road we're stuck on. That discussion is often hard to hear and tricky to navigate. If we keep missing the opportunities to exit, we'll be here next time around... and the time after that...
My sister is an author. She has had books published (both kids and adult) and is a national prizewinning poet. I have always had the same command of words and storytelling but I haven't ever really found the outlet for it.
I watched the episode of TableTop where they play the Dragon Age RPG yesterday and it has been swimming in my head still. I just downloaded the Death Unto Duty kit for it but I don't know if the people I would play this with would get it. I would probably have to tweak it. Then it dawned on me that I could write my whole own version (using DA as a template) with my own lore, abilities and characters. It was like in the movies when it all suddenly zooms through space and the person sits back like "woah". You mean I get to express my creativity, tell stories and have people pay attention to me (as I lead the game)? That's a perfect combo right there. *sharpens pencil*

In another edition of Johnny finally plays attention to the lyrics, I just realised that Creedence Clearwater Revival's Down On The Corner is about a band busking, not just some kids lead by boy named Willy who play a weird game of dropping nickels at people's feet.
I have resisted table top and card games for almost my entire adult life. Cards Against Humanity and Table Top have broken that seal. I fear for my safety and those of my friends who will be forced to play these in exchange for food.

Just saw the best thing on Facebook. Someone posted a dog whistle article for a hatefest. Leading comment with 500+ likes is a blueberry pancake recipe.
Apparently there was a poor call in a football game earlier. I'm sure it will receive hours of coverage and discussion on television and many more hours talked about by fans.

Oh I'm sure it will. But I doubt there will be any marches or vigils
