The other day, one of the first grade teachers came up the hall in laughter induced tears. She handed me a poem about the color blue that one of her students had written. Here is the poem: Blue is my favorite color because it is the color of the sky, and of the ocean, and the color of my friend's shirt.
Only, the young poet had left the 'r' out of 'shirt.'
