it's a Honda CR-V and far and away the most money I've ever spent on a car. Love it, though. - teleken
Name her Cristo. That will prove his point. - Lisa L. Seifert
I <3 Lisa. Also, I <3 CR-V. I'm either getting that or a Pilot when I trade in next year (though I'm super tempted to trade in right now...). - Hookuh Tinypants
The CR-V has a ridiculous turning radius - easier to park than that rental Impala I had. The EX comes VERY nicely loaded. - teleken
Gratz! I adore new cars of all the types. - Lnorigb
Well, Cristo's comment is gone. So now mine & Amanda's comments just look silly... Also, I really preferred the Subaru Forester to the CR-V back when I was looking. Although, the ease of repairing a Honda might sway me in the future IF they give them AWD... Love my Forester's AWD! - Lisa L. Seifert
Wait, what happened to Jalapeño? - Marie
The Forester was a consideration for me, but TCO was through the roof if you go out 5 years. Truth be told, this is my sixth Honda in 25 years. - teleken
Nice choice! The Honda, not Mark's music. :) - Stephan Planken
Marie - Jalapeño was totaled 9 months after I bought her by a sleeping driver doing 50 MPH who rear-ended me while I was stopped at a light. I've had bad luck with Toyotas. - teleken
Lisa - they make AWD CR-Vs. - teleken
Oh, Jalapeño. *pours out a sip* - Marie
Whaaaa? I've never seen a used one! It might be time to finally consider my first NEW car... - Lisa L. Seifert
Lisa - the AWD ones typically stocked are EX-Ls, which means you get leather and the premium nav system too. Fair price is about $29K. - teleken
Love it! Sadly I'm about to be dropped (I mean extinguished) by leveled-up knockout drops, or I'd have a clever Chfistopher-White-referential name for the car. But BlacoBlanco isn't yanking my chaiiiiii.............n.n.......n........n......... - Mary B: #TeamMonique
Sweet. Thanks for the tip, teleken! - Lisa L. Seifert
Any time. :) I must be getting old; this time around I shopped safety before style. IMO I got both with this car. IHSA has this one second to the Forester, BTW - they're more or less neck and neck. - teleken
Incidentally, I learned the CR-V is built on the same frame as the Accord, which explains the smooth ride and the way it handles. - teleken
I think Honda would have marketed it as such. From what I was able to find, it's MacPherson up front and "multi-link" in back. It does ride smoothly, though - I'm sure the factory 17" tires have a lot to do with that. - teleken
I was driving a 2004 Matrix. My policy went up about $70 USD a year. - teleken
Where are you in Ontario, BTW?My ex-wife, AKA She Who Must Not Be Mentioned By Name Lest She Appear (like Beetlejuice) grew up in Oshawa, which Deadmau5 immortalized with "Trapped in Oshawa" years ago. - teleken
