Not really complaining! We desperately need the rain.

I saw this post and thought about you http://www.reddit.com/r...

I was driving at the start and all the cars pulled to the side because suddenly we were driving unprepared on icy roads! The hail was so large that I'm afraid to check my car for dents.

Wow scary
- Rodfather
Oh wow, I didn't notice the hail in the thumbnail 'til you mentioned it. Yikes.

Driving back from Monterey earlier I saw across the bay all those clouds around Santa Cruz. It didn't hit Watsonville but read there was hail in Aptos which is right next door.

And you are not in Colorado?
- Julian
Julian, this is in Napa, CA although we did experience similar events when we lived in CO (both with hail and with snow!).
- Anne Bouey
I got the severe weather alert for Napa on the radio and was so surprised. Clear skies here in the South Bay. Hope you and your car are okay, Anne.

Woah. Woah

It's been quite a day here. We started with a 2.5 aftershock and ended with this!
- Anne Bouey
Crazy! I'm also a little jealous :-)

From the Napa Valley Register: "The skies above Napa turned furious during rush hour Friday evening, pelting the area with heavy rain, marble-size hail stones and claps of thunder.
In some west Napa areas, the hail piled up two inches deep, creating a Sierra winter landscape that prompted motorists to slow to a crawl or pull over. When they felt safe, some got out of their cars to take pictures.
When the storm passed through around 6 p.m., it left behind ice-covered roads and patios, terrified pets and residents wondering about the awesome power of nature less than five weeks since Napa's terrifying earthquake.
Many posted videos of the hail storm on Facebook. One poster commented, "Holy hailstorm, Batman."

I miss 70, but it looks like we'll have a beautiful, hail free 60+ day :)
