The 'honey do' things, yes. The wrapping paper and cake are beyond him, as is 'no ipad'. Day off is a work thing and won't happen b/c I'm taking a day to cater the LARP, though I may do nothing the following day since he'll still be at the LARP. I have to pick up and serve that night. Semi truck delivery was waiting on me when I got her (small dishwasher), I've taken four service calls (one angry recall), boxed four shipments, and am working on clearing some bills. I'm by myself today (though the boss may show up) c'mon Friday, I got this!

Two things went through my feed this morning ... a Giraffe Hotel in Africa where they wander up and share breakfast with you and a class with a glass artist that is the US's closest thing to an Italian Master. I couldn't do either but it dawned on me IF I could do one I'm not sure which I'd choose.

Remember the skate boys I ran off last week? Well, it seems they returned over the weekend and skated the truck well. Knocked a lot of stucco and paint off the wall, left black marks everywhere, crushed the rain gutter and broke a sprinkler when they threw it and the hose out of their way. Sigh.

It does not come without drama. My friend K is the current instructor but she's been dropping the ball lately and the studio is reaching a 'moving on' point. I don't want to step on K's toes but I do want to teach so I've mentioned it a few times to her and passed on any grumblings from the studio to try to give her an opportunity to step up. Also, I've told the studio I want to teach sculptural stuff since K doesn't do much of that. The studio says they've spoken to K about it and she's ok with me teaching ... Three more offices got their walking papers from Corporate today. I remember how ill I felt when we got ours. Tough days ahead for them but here's to hoping they can hang in there and make it out the other side. We've got a couple of years I think before we can say we are successful again, but I think we are on a good path.

Just had to ask two skate boarders skate elsewhere. Said "I'm sorry to be a buzzkill guys but my liability insurance wont cover it if you fall". They were quite polite about it ... impressed a 47 year old woman used the word 'buzzkill' maybe, or is that 'so last year'?

MAN went to a friend's house over the weekend while I was at the bead show. It was homecoming weekend so the daughter showed off her teeny tiny skin tight dress. MAN said it made him a little uncomfortable. "Why," I asked, " Because you knew her when she was tiny and it was weird to have a passing 'she's hot' thought?"
"YES" he replied, and he looked positively stricken, LOL. I expect most guys go though this at one point or another (women too for that matter) and the stricken is two fold. Both the horrifying thought that a 'kid' is hot as well as the 'holy shit I'm old' feeling. Has it happened to you? - Shannon - GlassMistress
