I think we might have a future preacher on our hands. When we say Grace or bedtime prayers Linky says AMEN! two or three times at the end really loud. It's the cutest thing.
The whole Burns family got on the special snow/ice day nap bus today. It was great! We are so grateful to the Nap Bus Transit Authority for sending this special bus today. Many thanks!
I think I just heard either a transformer exploding or a tree branch snapping due to ice in the distance. Either way it's time for sleep. May have to go in to work tomorrow. It's nice falling back into old Friendfeeding patterns though. Even if just for one night. Good night.
"There he goes again, we think, as if God has nothing better to do than to saunter down from the heavens and determine the outcome of sporting events. Is nothing else going on in the world? And what of the opposition? Don’t they believe in God, too? None of it makes much sense to those who aren’t particularly dedicated to faith, but believe it or not, there’s actually a lot going on when a Christian praises God on national television — most of which gets lost in translation."

When I first read this I thought it said "When Atheists Thank God."

Wow. This article completely changed my perspective on DeAndre Jordan. He plays for our mortal enemy, The Clippers, but other than that I'm a fan of his now. Really well written piece in his own words.

Our son Lincoln is firmly in the #TeamNoPants camp now. He pulls off his pants within minutes of getting home from daycare and strongly resists putting his pants back on after diaper changes or when getting dressed in the morning. This brings his personal #TeamNoShoes and #TeamNoSocks triumvirate into completion.
I wasn't really feeling Kanye's latest fashion designs last week but as always I still respect his creativity and his willingness to go against the norm. I don't understand a lick about fashion but I'm digging these boots. The new music he dropped during the show seemed promising as well. I know he's Looney Tunes but I'm still a Kanye fan.
Looking at Twitter it sounds like I should be watching the Stevie Wonder tribute. Wifey and Little Man are a sleep though and I don't feel like walking into the living room to watch in there so I'll just have to hope the DVR is recording it. Don't let me down Hopper.
I should have stocked up on salt and snow melt before we left Philly. Probably would have been difficult in the middle of July but I should have found a way. I was caught totally unprepared for today's ice storm. Office was closed so I didn't have to make the long commute into Nashville (yippy!) but our Internet connection is down so a)...
I couldn't work from home (yippy again... I mean darn) but b) random non-work related surfing was limited to my phone. Since I had free time on my hands I went to Home Depot for salt. Sorry no salt. Went to Wal-Mart. We sold out of salt on Saturday. That about does it for places that would possibly sell salt in this little town so I came back home and watched ESPN the rest of the day. First World Problems big time.

I thought y'all were back toward Memphis. How far are you from Nashville?

That's exactly how I see it John. They enhance our understanding of what's going on in the games. They're a tool. Not the end all be all. Just a tool to be used in conjunction with other tools to provide insight into what's going on out on the field/court/playing surface. Fascinating stuff.

Dang. It appears that my Twitter feed got hacked earlier today. The lovely folks at Twitter shut it down before things got too out of hand. Kind of sucks but kind of cool in a weird sort of way? Right of passage maybe? I'm so late on the Twitter front. Only been really active for the last 10 months or so. And even then only during NBA season.
Yeah, I noticed something odd. I should have alerted you. Sorry.

No problem. We're Internet-less at the moment (Thanks Charter) so I've only been online sporadically today via tether on my phone.
