Librarian, now with more Atlanta
I have no idea what a HS classmate is referring to with the hashtag in this, but I'm just assuming it's something awesome to do with me.
Seen outside the hookah/tobacco store near campus...
hello monster headache. Why did you show up so suddenly?
*hands over the pills* - Kirsten loves you
Hoping the tylenol works today (looked at the radar, and I bet it's that system that's supposed to move through overnight). - ellbeecee
Once again reminded that I can make a huge difference in one room in 20-30 minutes. That part of the kitchen that's been stressing me out and that I've been avoiding? Yeah, done. Now to deal with That Table while I color my hair. I bet I can get close to finishing it during that 10 minutes.
How's That Table now? - LB ❤s FF, esp. YOU
That Table is doing ok since the clean. it's not perfect, but it never will be. :) - ellbeecee
at the car wash. resisting the urge to tell the lady next to me that the baking plan she's talking about is wrong. :)
(it really is the more I hear her describe it). also, I'm eavesdropping like the neighbor on bewitched. - ellbeecee

convo with my dentist this morning: I only get the big dental problems, don't I? I haven't had a filling in years, but I can count on $500+ in crowns, root canals or more every year. Dentist *grins* (not in a "more money for me way, just a grin)
Took today off since I have the dentist at 8:30 and the doctor at 2:30 and by the time I got to work between them, it'd be time to leave again. As I woke up, I realized I could go to the laundrymat between them and not have to do that tomorrow. And sleep in tomorrow. Win!
I was so excited to go home this afternoon. Then I remembered that I have the 5-6 desk shift. Sigh.
hate when that happens! - Stephan!e•CogSc!L!brar!an
my boss walked by at 5:15 and told me to go home. But then I got a question. and then about 5:45 I was going to leave, a student from this semester's entrepreneurship workshops came up with a question. But now I'm home. - ellbeecee
Why yes, I did just swear at Factiva. grrr.
I'm sure you're not the first. - RepoRat
True. I just wish they made it easier to find out how to do things. But it is the best newspaper database for what I'm working on, so I'm kind of stuck. I did learn how to limit to more than a specific word count, though. (it's wc>, wc<, wc=, fwiw) - ellbeecee
Not the first, definitely won't be the last. - Deborah Fitchett
Upon booting my computer this morning, it spent 10 minutes just beeping at me (long enough for me to put in a help ticket from the ipad, then stop almost as soon as I put in the ticket). Once it finally started, I decided that I need to move all the work things things that I save on my desktop to my network folder, just in case.
Good idea. - Joe
Sometimes my job is far mathier than I want it to be.
What with the whole "one dies, another takes their place" thing, I kind of wish Rupert Giles would show up. #TheLibrarians
The Library has formed a committee of librarians. #danger #TheLibrarians
LOL! - bentley
you better start swimming or you'll sink like a stone.
(Miranda Lambert. Nothing too obnoxious, I swear. Unless you hate country. :) ) - ellbeecee
HBR. grrr.
Always and forever grrr with them. - Stephen Francoeur
we should all just put it on our business cards and in our email signatures. - Marie
And today's was for a silly reason, mostly. I wanted to print an article from the December issue. So I went and found it in business source complete and printed it. And then the final page - the notice of use restrictions - needed a different size paper than the rest of the article. Which irritated me. And then I read the "notice of use restrictions" and got grumpy at HBR for those, which isn't a silly reason to be grumpy at them. - ellbeecee
I took my lotion home before Thanksgiving intending to bring in the new container when I came back. Guess what I forgot to bring in? *sigh*
.. offers some lotion ... - Stephan!e•CogSc!L!brar!an
HOORAY! I just went to look in my bag, desperate for something, and found that I didn't take the almost empty tub out! I can scrape remnants of lotion from the inside of it. Whee! - ellbeecee
It's sooprize root canal Monday! I'm such a lucky girl!
For some variable of the word "lucky." Hope all goes smoothly. - Kirsten loves you
me too - ibuprofen for the root canalz. and lots of banana puddin'! and good luck etc. - Stephan!e•CogSc!L!brar!an

Hatnote Listen to Wikipedia - http://listen.hatnote.com/#
Oh this is cool, and pretty soothing. "Listen to the sound of Wikipedia's recent changes feed. Bells indicate additions and string plucks indicate subtractions. Pitch changes according to the size of the edit; the larger the edit, the deeper the note. Green circles show edits from unregistered contributors, and purple circles mark edits performed by automated bots. You may see announcements for new users as they join the site, punctuated by a string swell." - ellbeecee
The Sisterhood: Becoming Nuns - Episodes, Videos, & Schedule - myLifetime.com - http://www.mylifetime.com/shows...
Is it sad that I kind of want to give this show a try tonight? I suspect it'll be BAD, but I kind of want to anyway. - ellbeecee
I did watch this. It was...interesting. Even ok, at least for someone who has some understanding of the role/position of nuns in the Catholic Church. If you don't have that background, I think there would be aspects that would seriously be difficult to get. Like the one who did a lot of talking about how she sees Jesus as her boyfriend/future husband. - ellbeecee
In today's mystery, let's guess what I've done to my hand! They're scrape-like, not hive-like, and don't particularly hurt. But they look terrible!
Dry patches? - Katie
"Liked" out of sympathy. I always have mystery stuff like this. - Meg VMeg
Nope, Katie. Dry patches are common for me, and these are different. I must have scraped them on something. Maybe I was in a fistfight in the middle of the night? - ellbeecee
I figured it out. It's the cuff for the blood pressure monitor I bought. To get it tight enough, I end up with an angle that runs that part of my hand across the scratchy side of the velcro. I need to pay attention and not do this again. - ellbeecee
Arrived at work to mystery umbrella on my desk. Is it a gift? A warning? Something more sinister? This is what happens when I'm out for a week. ;)
It's for you to cover yourself when the s**t hits the fan? - Aaron the Librarian
I was staying in a motel once (during repairs to my house post-earthquake) and came back to my room one day to find an umbrella hanging from my door. A zebra-striped umbrella, zebras being my thing. But no-one who knew I was there ever owned up to it. So, slightly creepy, but I kept the umbrella anyway, because hey, zebra-striped. - Deborah Fitchett
damn. this amtrak monitor it's on some kindof loop with ALL THE DANGERS. Theft, armed gunmen, suspicious characters...not to mention the trains themselves.
Where ya goin' on Amtrak? - Meg VMeg
roomette would have added $500 (each way) to the ticket price. - ellbeecee
today was space shuttle day
nestofstraightlines: fats: lisquid: This will be the cutest video you will see today. My grandparents found baby sea turtles on their doorstep this morning so they released them one by one! please turn on your volume omg I thought the turtles were going to make some kind of adorable noise but it turns out it’s the grandparents. - http://ellbeecee.tumblr.com/post...
