We got it when I was six. It's "portable"!

Oh the memories...
- Bret Taylor
I had the exact same computer! :)
- Ana
Fancy. We had a vic-20.
- Paul Buchheit
My dad actually brought the computer on airplanes, carry on. It weighed like 8 billion pounds. I can't imagine what TSA would do if you tried to carry this thing on nowadays :)

I think the appropriate term is "luggable". We had a Sinclair, then TI-99, then a C64; how's that for obscure?

TRS-80 model 1 level 1 for me. Inside it was powered by a small gerbil called "Z-80". http://peggyluwho.files.wordpress.com/2008...

Nice. That's the Compaq, right?
- Eric - Final Countdown
Yep, Compaq.
- Shannon Jiménez
Commodore had a 'portable' version of the C64 like this as well. The SX64.
- Rodfather
Nice! I had a Timex Sinclair 1000 (aka ZX-81) with the optional 16KB memory expansion pack, then a Commodore 64, and then a PC (386SX, 20MHz, 2MB RAM, 40MB hard disk)

Anyone here remember having a PC with a "turbo" button? I remember having one that would boost cpu speed from 4.77mhz to 8mhz (I think it was 8). It was glorious. We need to bring back the turbo button.

Here's what mine looked like (with a TV and a tape recorder to load programs): http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3174.... Times were great! :)
