I had my first ever performance review today. It went well, I got a 1% raise. They're creating a "shift supervisor" for the bakery, for my shift. My boss specifically talked it over with me, and I like the sound of it, so... I'm applying. This is historically very uncharacteristic for me, and I'm excited. It would come with a 10% raise.

Looks great. But is it? living at the other end of planet (India) we would kill the boss for 1% hike. I believe the hike should be in line with food inflation. We are reeling under 20% food inflation.
