What's Your Biggest Regret? - NYTimes.com - http://well.blogs.nytimes.com/2011...
"However, people whose regrets involved something they didn’t do or a missed opportunity were more likely to hold on to the regret over time. “The longer-ago regrets tend to focus on lost opportunities, things you could have done or should have done different,” said Dr. Roese. “More recent regrets tend to focus on things you did do that you wish you could take back.”" - Clare Dibble
I feel out of touch. Where do you get your news?
I mean both {tv/ internet/ print/ carrier pigeon} and {nbc/ blogs/ ny times/ water cooler gossip}. - Clare Dibble
I feel like like twitter / friendfeed / fark and the like don't really give you a good synopsis of breaking news. They mostly just comment on the news story. So if you haven't read a "regular" story like something from cnn, then it is hard to understand the discussion. - Robert Felty

Do the Laws of Physics Permit Any Exceptions? | Psychology Today - http://www.psychologytoday.com/blog...
"If you are open-minded, I invite you to try this exercise. Don't make a snap judgment on these ideas. Try them out for a couple months. That involves two things: Try seriously and in good faith to see them as correct, and try also seriously and in good faith to find them wrong. Switching back and forth is most effective, I think." - Clare Dibble

I don't get it. Is the idea that people who talk about "conversations" are annoying? - Paul Buchheit
I think it is more that any time someone says "we need to have a conversation" or something like that, it is often going to be about something unpleasant or bad. - Jennifer Dittrich
What Jennifer said: phrases like, "Let's have a _conversation_ around that." usually means something bad is coming. - Clare Dibble
