I watch the morning local news on the ABC affiliate and also watch Good Morning America. I also periodically look at the website for the local ABC affiliate. FriendFeed/Twitter alert me if something big happens during the day, too. - Rochelle

I feel like like twitter / friendfeed / fark and the like don't really give you a good synopsis of breaking news. They mostly just comment on the news story. So if you haven't read a "regular" story like something from cnn, then it is hard to understand the discussion. - Robert Felty
