Are there still places to develop those? I know of a few photographers still preferring film over digital. Probably in the same way there will always be diehards clinging to vinyl albums.

The problem with the shift from film to digital is that the film canisters were damned useful for so many things.

yes! back when I was beading seriously, my whole kit was film cannisters labelled w silver sharpie in a tacklebox. i still use em as mini sewing kits or first aid supplies on trips.

I am too much of a cheap ass to get a dslr when my film slr works good enough, and I use it about twice a year. That and the specs always seem to get better each year, so why buy a good dslr now, when I can get a better one next year.
