I think a neat vacation would be to take couple weeks off in the summer and do a road trip of baseball games and stadiums. I always like seeing how cities are represented via their enthusiasm for their baseball teams. Plus I'd love seeing a lot of these great parks in person.
next summer you should visit Camden Yards, one of the most beautiful parks out there. - Sir Shuping is just sir
Andrew, I'll probably see Camden Yards in the next month. :) - Derrick
That's one of my If I Win Lotto plans. Take a summer and tour all the baseball stadiums (with lots of minor league ones thrown into the mix) and hockey arenas in the winter. - vicster.
mine would be tennis stadiums - VALZONE#SCREWED
I guess it's feasible to do the east coast anyway, from DC up to Boston, maybe? Hrm. - Derrick
if you visit all the stadiums related to the Orioles, you get a free t-shirt :) - http://baltimore.orioles.mlb.com/bal... - ~Courtney F
Ooh! I'd probably have to wait until next summer to do all that. And maybe rent a car. :) - Derrick
I feel the same way about football stadiums. - Mary Carmen
Some of the east coast stadiums could be done as day trips or overnights, plus there are a bunch of minor league teams in the DC area (or nearby). - John (bird whisperer)
I was just thinking that, John. Football would be harder to do unless you lucked out and got a Monday night game close to a Sunday game. Of course if you took your time and did stuff during the week in between games, it's doable. - Derrick
I have a short list of stadiums I would really like to visit and see a game. - Mary Carmen
:) I love that. - Derrick
Durham Bulls Athletic Park! - Catherine Pellegrino
*heads south with Catherine* - Derrick
We have a faculty member who does that every summer. I'm not sure how many parks he's been to. - LB ❤s FF
