My take away from my first winter snow (and ice) storm is that they're pretty but mostly kind of a pain. At least DC is pretty mild.

I've always maintained that cold weather is much easier to deal with than hot weather. In cold weather, you can always find another sweater or blanket to put on; in hot weather, there's only so much clothing you can remove before you're out of options.
