Why bother with chicken at all? Tofu could probably result in a similar product that has some worth as actual food. No ammonia required.

Why is this "weirdly pink". I'd imagine uncooked chicken put in a blender would end up the same color. I'm sure cooking turns it white, not dye. Has the person who posted this on Gizmodo ever cooked before?

One of the girls I lived next to in college's father was an engineer that worked on mechanical chicken separation. She was awesome, and I'm glad I've not had that job.
