Another company I used to deal with, Digidesign, used to have the whole super secret mentality about their products. Sales eventually began to slide because there was nothing to look forward to. And the product was such a high dollar value that people got angry finding out a week later that the product they just bought is obsolete because a new one was released. They started making lower priced products and marketing their products ahead of time to drum up excitement. They did much better that way. - Paul Puri
