My experimental baking used to be received with "oh, that's... interesting," and "actually, it tastes pretty good." This weekend, though, it was all "I don't know why you said this might be weird, it's great," and "Seriously, Lo, this is amazing." And everything was gone lickety split. Hooray, I'm getting better at something!

I've been thinking about starting a bread/pastry club, where people chip in a little for ingredients & get baked goods every week. Good idea, or too much hassle?
- Lo
That sounds like a good idea!

It sounds like it could be pretty awesome, but could get overwhelming if it isn't something you're doing already. Either way, it sounds like you're having a great time :)

Good point, Jennifer. I was thinking maybe I could start with a small, easygoing group, and only one item per week. See how it goes, and if it's good, expand. I don't want to get overwhelmed, but I am also starting to get bored at work. Case in point: today my boss said I could demo a new cheesecake I invented, and pumped my fist and said "YESSSS!" for the first time in like 20 years.
