My team lead informed me that our manager had approached him about the possibility that I was lying on my time card. Apparently he saw me enter the building yesterday at a time much later than my normal start time. - DB, Lil LB's Dad

Unbeknownst to him I've started taking walks around the compound around 10 everyday. My new job is very sedentary so the physical activity is nice. I guess he didn't see me leave but saw me come back in and assumed I was just getting there since I was all bundled up (what with it being cold and all). I guess when he saw me leave at my normal time (I waved at him in the hallway for Pete's sake!) that raised a red flag in his mind. It troubles me that he would immediately jump to that conclusion without me knowingly giving him a reason to do so previously. - DB, Lil LB's Dad

I feel like I'm paying for the sins of my predecessor. He was unreliable and a bit shady. I was told thee paperwork was being put in to transition me from a contract position to full time a few weeks ago. This makes me wonder if that's in jeopardy now. - DB, Lil LB's Dad

Going for walks/doing physical activity during the work day is encouraged here. It's a health insurance company and wellness is the new buzzword in the industry. Lots of folks do it including my team lead. He vouched for me and said he had squashed it with our boss but basically said watch your back. Thanks Marvin. That's the thing. I feel like this is the job. It's not exactly my dream job but it's the best job I've ever had and is perfect for me at this point in my career.
