I usually start buying lil things for J's birthday & Christmas in August. This year I told him he was getting one big present, smart phone or TV, he picked TV. With everything turned upside down & all extra cash needing to be held for move in, he isn't getting anything until maybe February.

Someone on the news yesterday said that TVs also go on sale right before Superbowl Sunday, so that timing might be the best, anyway.
