I have a bad habit of putting off small, relatively inconsequential things that as a result turn into not so small things. Yes I'm working on it, but it's there all the same. Anyone else do this? Gotta clue why? Wanna trade small inconsequential things and do 'em for each other? Apparently I'm better at doing stuff for other people than for myself.

Amen, sister. I think mine is because I feel a little overwhelmed and even though it is something small it is still "one more got damn thing I gotta do!".
- Yolanda
Yolanda++. I tend to let stuff pile up for no apparent reason cuz I always feel like I'm doing too much already. I think the only solution is to break that mental block, take a second to just DO IT NOW. Very difficult, though.
- Rahsheen
I also find it easier to do stuff for others, even the consequential stuff. I'll trade! :)

What Yolanda said times eleventy. Also, I think it's a small act of "rebellion" by the over committed. It always backfires.
- MoTO Boychick Devil
If by "backfire" you mean "results in cats who look at me accusingly as they stand on tip toe in the nasty litter box" then yes, you are correct.

Do you think men have this as much a women? I think I've noticed the whole put others before myself thing more in women I've known.

It's not exactly that, Todd. The stuff I do for other people is way more interesting than the stuff I do for myself. Filling out someone else's Christmas card list one year? You get to think about how they know them and where everyone is from and whether they'll read the card. Cleaning the litterbox every Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday from now to perpetuity? You pretty much get to think about how your life boils down to cleaning up other creatures shit =/

But think of the enjoyment those creatures get out of a clean box :-)
