Okay folks, I'm trying to run the PHP code in Mac OSX 10.10 but for the life of me can't find the ~/sites directory. I'm not a Mac native and still learning, but I'm hoping someone has a quick answer to I can backup FF.

What's failing? ~ is your home directory, so just open up the terminal program and you'll be at your home directory. If you just need a sites directory you can make one: mkdir sites

I was trying to follow a guide online to get the web server up with PHP and running in OSX, and they said, now go to ~/sites, and I'm like where the hell is that? I guess it's not that hard.

Everything is hard until you know how to do it :-)

They changed the configuration in 10.10 so that Apache doesn't by default serve pages in ~/Sites anymore. I think this is the guide I used to set it up http://coolestguidesontheplanet.com/get-apa...

Thanks for the updated guide. I'll work through it tonight.

I've got it running. Thanks.

I can't see the content directory. Is it hidden be default?
