The perils of being salary with a company vehicle: Dave has to drive from upstate SC (which has 6 inches of snow and various ice and slush) to Brevard NC (which has 12 inches plus of snow) to take all their newspapers to the delivery people (because yes, NC newspapers are printed in SC).

He left at 2:30 in a 4wd truck, with many extra clothes, a camp stove, 2 bottles of fuel, sleeping bag, pillow, snow shovel, 2 cups, a pot, instant coffee, granola bars, nuts, and peanut butter. I'd like to think that being this prepared means he'll arrive there and back safe and sound.
