We had Hail here in Mountain View. There was briefly some ice on the ground, but I wouldn't have called it "snow" :)

Yes Spidra, but most of those are at much higher elevations and often on the border of other states (like Tahoe). The majority of CA, n o so much. Steve, my contractor said he saw it when he was driving in Sunnyvale. Just light flakes, most likely melted the second it hit the ground.
