I found another freakin' wire hanger today and nearly lost it. I don't know why the hell we keep these things around. If I had the money I would go buy 100 plastic ones and replace every last wire hanger in this house.

I always keep a few wire hangers stashed for emergency wire needs. Ya just never know. But the Dollar Store is the source of all the plastic hangers in my house. Really, at 5 or 10 for a buck you can replace aaalll the hangers eventually.

I want a picture of these pants on a wire hanger, Janet. Cause I ain't buying it. Wire hangers are good for McGuyvering random household tasks but otherwise they sucketh big time.

Not long ago I bought felted hangers - those are awesome. I would love to have some wooden shirt hangers (I have one or two for pants/skirts) as they seem to hold up very well and they look classy. But those thin I-am-leftover-from-the-last-dry-cleaning-pickup wire hangers...god help me.

One summer the little girls in our neighborhood went nuts crocheting covers over wire hangers. They were giving them to everybody. Made a nice non-slip coating and used up a lot of wire hangers.

m9m, I did the same thing when I was 9. We weren't allowed to play outside or watch TV while my mother was at work, so I covered HUNDREDS of wire hangers with my sister.

I did it like latch hook, but with one long string, if one color. Yes, I made multi-colored hangers. So, you start with a loop and pull the yarn through, then do the same next to it. It's hard for me to explain. I don't have the knot/tie/whatever vocabulary for it. || ETA: Looking at this: http://scouts.lamb-thielen.com/data... I guess it's like a combo of the chain hitch and a sort of running knot.
