Baked oatmeal people: Looking at a couple recipes online. What's your method? There's one where you mix up the dry ingredients in one bowl, the wet in another, combine and bake. Another where you basically do the same but let it sit in the icebox overnight and then bake. Thoughts? Impressions? Tweaks?

Cool, thanks, everyone. Higlet, I'll have to try those out another time. Dipped in chocolate? Hello. - Derrick
Like Jennifer, I usually mix the dry and then add the wet ingredients. If adding berries I've mixed them gently with the dry before adding the wet stuff as it seems to help keep the fruit evenly distributed. - Galadriel C.

My husband asked me to make this recipe that turned out nasty. Lots of protein powder spenda.baking blend I forget what else. Maybe pumpkin was in it. A waste of excellent oats. So, don't do that, lol. It I can ever forget I might try again with a normal recipe. - Christina Pikas
I did something really basic: oats, milk, eggs, butter, a little salt, a little vanilla, baking powder, some cinnamon and brown sugar. I figure I'll eat it with some yogurt and a little fresh fruit since y'all know how I feel about cooked fruit. O_o - Derrick
I have a recipe that suggests putting chocolate chips in it. :) - Katy S
I made the oatmeal last night but forgot to eat it this morning. :( I was too rattled by the snow and thinking about my commute cause I didn't wanna be late for my student appointment. Maybe I'll have it for dinner. - Derrick
I baked some oatmeal for the first time the other day. Used frozen blueberries, on top of a layer of bananas. The oats & dried things I put on top of that, with liquids (milk, eggs vanille) on top. YUMMMMMMMMM - Stephan!eā€¢CogSc!L!brar!an
I tasted just a piece of it last night when I pulled it out of the oven. I know it's good! - Derrick
