It wasn't the film we had dreamed, the film we all carried in our hearts, the film we wanted to make... and secretly wanted to live. - Jean-Luc Godard
For the late crew - check out my new Looney Tunes series. Gotta watch ‘em all. Or something. http://www.the-frame.com/2015...
LRT: OMG I NEED TO GO WATCH ALL THE JACQUES DEMY FILMS RIGHT NOW.
RT @peterapeel: Jacques Demy films including LOLA, BAY OF ANGELS, CHERBOURG, ROCHEFORT and more now available for free on @Hulu. http://www.hulu.com/browse...
There’s a horror game on Steam where you play as an apparently abandoned 2-year-old. Cool idea, but NOPE NOPE NOPE.
are you talking about Limbo? - Jeff (Team マクダジ )
I actually think it's an interesting idea in terms of an unusual gameplay POV. I probable would've played it fine and thought it was fresh and intriguing before having kids, but with Karina just now coming up on two, it would be way too much for me to handle. - Jandy
So apparently Monday is a holiday. Good thing a coworker was like "text me if you need something before Tuesday," or I wouldn’t have known.
You know the US is too big with too many different climates when half of my Twitter is digging out snow and it’s sweltering in SoCal today.
My blog stats mystify me. I get why 19 people are reading the thing I posted today. But why are 12 people reading my AFI Fest 2010 preview?
It could be search engines. They are always crawling deep into sites. - Todd Hoff
Bots.. its all bots - CW
Bots...why'd it have to be bots? - Spidra Webster
RT @uclaftvarchive: THE BIG COMBO (dir. Joseph H. Lewis) opened on this date in 1955. #UCLArestorations http://t.co/COHmOIGL3G
It is too dang hot for February right now.

And of course, yes, it’s not 7000 hours. It’s 7000 minutes. It’s still a lot of cartoons, is my point.
Starting a new series; because I can think of worse ways to spend 7000 hours than watching every Looney Tune. :) http://www.the-frame.com/2015...
Re: The Chronological Looney Tunes: 1930 - http://www.the-frame.com/2015...
"Thanks, Brandie! Your series kind of inspired me to do this - no way I can do individual write-ups as good as yours, but something like this, broader and less in-depth, I might be able to handle! Of course, this year is cake compared to the later ones, which have tons more cartoons. We'll see how I hold up! I might have to split them out in into multiple posts for ease of both writing AND reading... I don't think I'd ever actually seen a Bosko cartoon before. I'm a bit worried about getting through the 1930s, as my favorite Looney Tunes really start in the '40s, but I'm also intrigued by seeing a different style of animation than I'm used to." - Jandy

RT @classicfilms: #WarnerBros. will soon release #TomandJerry: The Gene Deitch Collection DVD with 13 re-mastered shorts + bonus... http://fb.me/1xw38McfI
It's cool, Killer, I didn't need to look at that or anything. http://t.co/RDRBcw0R3v
RT @bilgeebiri: It has been recently brought to my attention that the greatness of one film doesn't diminish that of another. Adjust accordingly.
RT @moviessilently: If you compare something to a silent film when you have never a silent film, you risk entering a Blackadder episode. https://www.youtube.com/watch...
RT @moviessilently: New rule, enforced by me: Before anyone can compare anything to a silent movie, they need to have SEEN ONE first.
I keep seeing places where we want to move that are PERFECT for us, but we can’t afford both moving costs AND breaking our lease. Argh.
Yep. Found one like that a few months ago. *sigh* - bentley
Now that we’ve basically decided to move, waiting until our lease is up in November is kind of agonizing.
Right there. Pretty much every time. I hit it 98% of the time now. http://t.co/z7X8v9zS6P
Dubious talent I’ve developed: Knowing exactly where in a Looney Tunes video Finder preview to jump to in order to see the title.
So I figured out the iMovie stuff enough to get what I need tonight. But I need these files to work w/real editors to do visual essays.
Blender edits video quite well, as I understand it. - Michael W. May
Well, at least I figured this out. It’s Apple’s stupid "event" thing that’s not the same as a project. Bugs me in iPhoto, too.
Or, probably more to the point, what video codecs and formats they use. I’ve been ripping h.264 .mp4, which Premiere SHOULD handle.
My plans to be a big-time video essayist are becoming problematic. Might need to pick some brains on what software other essayists use.
On the other hand, iMovie loads this file and Premiere thinks it’s 3 seconds long and crashes when I try to play it. WTF.
This is completely non-intuitive. I’m gonna have to go search for help on how to trim a clip.
I don’t get how consumer editing software like iMovie is way harder to use than pro software like Premiere or FCP. Shouldn’t it be easier?
It's harder because it's easier. - WoH: Professor MOTHRA
Watching @movieguyjon start Sunset Overdrive. I kinda wanna create a character more than I wanna play the actual game.
