Okay, I took it a little out of context here than on Twitter - but basically I paid for 10GB of 3G while my wifi was down for a month, and this was all I ended up using when I bought it on Wednesday :(

Kind of like LinkedIn but with less formality, something that would use Facebook Connect, Twitter, FriendFeed, LinkedIn etc. etc. Your friends can leave supplementary comments to say why you'd be ideal for the job, but allow others to leave just a simple digital signature?

...people with larger networks of friends -- online and/or real -- would get an (unfair) advantage over folks who either don't have a lot of friends (for whatever reason) or who haven't yet developed their online social networks (for a variety of reasons).

True enough, though I think it should be taken into consideration as a supplement to application. In all fairness I wish more people saw the relevance of joining LinkedIn.
