Death by cellphone? Put the fear industry on hold - The Globe and Mail - http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news...
"Do not sleep with your cellphone pasted to your ear. Do not use it in poor reception zones. (Fewer signal bars mean the phone has to work harder to get a signal, so it may emit more deadly rays that will penetrate your skull and go straight into your brain.) Be sure to limit the exposure of your kids. You don’t want to be a bad parent, do you?" - Brian Sullivan

MI6 Hacked Al Qaeda Website, Swapping Bomb Recipes With Cupcake Recipes - Gizmodo - http://gizmodo.com/5808170
"Just imagine the look of surprise on an al Qaeda member's face when they thought they were loading a tutorial on how to "make a bomb in the kitchen of your mom" but actually got...a recipe for mojito cupcakes. Famed British intelligence agency MI6 hacked the first English-language Jihadist online magazine, Inspire, last year but their cheeky content-swapping mission has only just been made public now. And thank goodness." - Brian Sullivan

No sympathy for rookie Hildebrand after crash at Indy 500 - The Globe and Mail - http://www.theglobeandmail.com/globe-d...
"“I’m surprised that no one is picking up on this – everyone inside the sport is talking about it,” the driver said. “The strong rumour in the paddock is that they had a bit bigger fuel tank than everyone else.” Fans may never know the truth since – amazingly – IndyCar does not do mandatory post-race inspections and instead only performs them at its discretion." - Brian Sullivan

Fast growing Groupon files for $750 million IPO despite $522 million deficit - GeekWire - http://www.geekwire.com/2011...
"Groupon boasts 7,000 employees and more than 83 million subscribers in 43 countries, an amazing achievement for the young company. It also generated revenue of $644 million during the first quarter. But it is still losing money, posting a net loss of $102 million for that period and has an accumulated deficit of $522 million." - Brian Sullivan

Local News | Judge refuses to toss out lawsuit over gay softball | Seattle Times Newspaper - http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html...
"A federal judge has refused to dismiss a lawsuit filed by three men who claim they were disqualified from the 2008 Gay Softball World Series near Seattle for not being gay enough." - Brian Sullivan
OMG This is like what happened with my friend's gay bowling team. One of the opposing bowling teams filed a claim against her team, because she saw one of them women kissing a man. The woman said she was bi after the teammates question her, though on her app she said she was gay. There was a kerfluffle and they dropped her from the team, but I don't think there was a lawsuit. - Anika
The whole thing gives me a queasy feeling. Isn't this just they type of discrimination gays have been experiencing forever? The officious are concerned about non gay "ringers"? I guess there are vindictive people of every persuasion. - Brian Sullivan

Artist says city erased mural it paid him to paint - thestar.com - http://www.thestar.com/news...
"Artist Joel Richardson says the city has painted over a popular Dupont St. mural that it paid him $2,000 to create, an apparent misfire in Mayor Rob Ford’s war on graffiti. A city spokeswoman says the railway underpass wall was returned to drab grey because Richardson’s artwork was unauthorized, uncommissioned, political and may have “referred to (Prime Minister) Stephen Harper.” Richardson says in 2008 then-Davenport councillor Adam Giambrone’s office asked him to paint a mural on the north wall of the underpass west of Lansdowne Ave., on the funky Junction Triangle neighbourhood’s eastern edge. The colourful scene of faceless men in suits, dollar signs and hearts, funded mostly through donations from local businesses, proved popular enough, he says, that Giambrone’s staff asked him to paint another mural on the south wall, and helped him get a $2,000 commission from the city’s Clean and Beautiful secretariat." - Brian Sullivan
Space shuttle Endeavour: 'An incredible ship' • The Register - http://www.theregister.co.uk/2011...

Speaking from Mission Control in Houston, astronaut Barry Wilmore told commander Mark Kelly: "Your landing ends a vibrant legacy for this amazing vehicle that will long be remembered.
