Damnit, wish they sold parsley in tiny bunches. I always buy a big clump, use a fraction of it & then toss the rest after a few weeks.
If you buy two (or more) bunches, you could make a decent amount of tabbouleh, though! - Andrew C (✔)
The only other suggestion I have is to chop it all up, then freeze them in ice cube trays, probably covered with a bit of water too. - Andrew C (✔)
I've seen parsley (and other herbs) in small packages at ShopRite. - John (bird whisperer)
You can save it by putting it in a jar of water, then covering it. Like fresh cut flowers. Keep it in your fridge. Freezing it works, too. Just did that with cilantro yesterday for a similar reason. - Anika
Yeah I've seen the small packs of herbs but don't remember parsley packaged the same way. Although I usually have the same issue with the herb packs. I don't use enough of 'em at a time so they often go to waste. Thanks for the refrigerating/freezing tips. - rønin
You could just buy a potted parsley plant, and clip off what you need when you need it. But if you do decide to store the cut stuff in a jar of water in the fridge, like a bouquet of flowers, add just a bit of sugar and lemon juice to the water to help preserve it. - April Russo (FForever!)
I was just at a new The Fresh Market that opened up relatively close by and noticed that they were selling a bunch of different potted herb plants. As well as a grow your own mushrooms right off of a box thing. Might be worth considering. - rønin
I was considering buying a bunch of different herb plants as a gift for my stepmother...then remembered how it's not nice to buy someone perpetual homework as a gift. - April Russo (FForever!)
