Eau De Colon – Why Something Smells Funny On Twitter - AllTwitter - http://www.mediabistro.com/alltwit...
oh, my! I can imagine! Reminds me when I was online for a Microsoft-sponsored chat about Tablet PCs. MS MVPs and even industry folks attended these chats. I was using the Tablet Input Panel, and I wrote that I was saving for a new computer. The TIP translated that as "Sexing for a new..." One of the MVPs/hosts said, "This is NOT that type of chat channel." I was mortified, and apologized and explained that the TIP translated my writing wrong. She said no worries, it wouldn't be left in when the chat log was posted by the MS Tablet Team. She also cautioned people not to share the transcripts until the final version was posted. Sadly, when I checked the transcript later, my messed-up comment was still in there. - MiniMage
I am always careful when i type disk drive or docking station. - Mike Nencetti
At my old job, someone at the help desk made that typo; rhe PC was giving a disk error when the user tried to boot up. The support center rep's entry was, "User said she checked, and it had no <guess>." I can't remember what someone said to me five minutes ago, but I may never forget that, and it happened over a decade ago. - MiniMage
A few of my most famous chat room quotes were from hitting L when I should have hit the K key that was next to it. There is a big difference in meaning between "kick" and "lick". And a good friend of mine invented a new word that we will never let him forget, when he made the same typo, transforming "wonderful" into "wonderfuk". And he had a fantastic idea to save us all from our most embarrassing typos: http://omgplzstfukthx.blogspot.com/2008... - April Russo (FForever!)
