Lo
Just skinned my knee for the first time since I quit drinking almost seven years ago. In related news, ice is slippery. #StupidMidwest
Oh, and I finally talked to my knows-whats-going-on roommate, and am less worried about my missing roommate. We're following up, but it seems likely he's in India with family. - Lo
Congrats on the skinned knee. A room mate is missing and in India? He didn't mention he was going there? - Eivind
Good news about the roommate. - COMPLICATED MR. NOODLE
Apparently it is in keeping with the culture of this house to leave for long periods of time without telling anyone. I'm not used to that. Clued-in-roomie said, "given the way this house has worked, I thought maybe he moved out. But I checked... his stuff is still there." We decided to start a log with a) how long one might be randomly absent before the rest of us should worry/do something, and b) who to contact in emergencies. We are officially the worst housing co-op EVER. - Lo
If only there were a Scandinavian to tell us how it's done... *side-eyes Eivind* - Lo
I've never lived with strangers, Lo, but I'll see if I can find an expert for you when I return to Scandinavia :-P - Eivind
good seeing you Lo - VALZONE#SCREWED
I was going to suggest a "check-out' board of some kind. Roomers could log when they will be gone, what to do with mail, contact person, when to expect them back? - m9m, Crone of FriendFeed
m9m, that's smart, but you've entered "real co-op" territory. I'm not sure we can handle that. Plus if I wanted people to keep tabs on what I'm doing, I'd move into a real co-op... the low commitment is what attracted us all, I think :-P - Lo
Hi, Val! - Lo
Glad to hear you have good news on the roommate front. - Heather
TWSS! ...wait, that doesn't really work in this context. - Big Joe Silenced
