Jayden is a very young 16 10/12 year old. Since preschool he's been in special ed schools & classes. Many of his classes have been all boys, and he's never had a girl his age as a play cousin or friend. He was friendly w a few neighbor girls, over the years, but they quickly passed him up in their maturity so he didn't spend much time with them.

Whenever girls his age are around, I watch him & them just to get an idea of how he interacts w them, & what kind of impression he makes on the girls.

I've noticed that girls notice Jayden. Even a girl in the store with her parents, will watch him, even if nobody is saying Hi to anybody.

I taught him to speak if someone is staring at him, or if he finds himself staring. He has no problem greeting people he doesn't know, and people like that, so he gets lots of attention.

But the teenage girl attention is unique. It's not "what nice manners" like we might think. They're probably thinking "I hope he talks to me I hope he doesn't talk to me Is he looking at me I wonder what school he goes to Is that his mom Is he looking at me"

They just don't know. If you can't talk Pokemon, or video games, or movie special effects...you might catch his eye, but not his conversation.
