Brad - IMO passionate leaders tend to motivate employees much more than dispassionate leaders. (That doesn't necessarily require the type of verbal abuse and cruelty that Steve Jobs was known for in his younger days) But the key here is that these leaders also have to inspire others with their vision and push their employees beyond their own self-imposed limitations.
