I still haven't seen what Akiva looks like, or if he's even human. And it's just perfect. One can know it's not important to friendship in theory, but now I know it over years of practice.
I met him in Seattle and he didn't kill me. Yet. - Kristin
He may not be human, but he does have feet. I saw his feet in a Louis Gray post where they went to a baseball game. I think. - Joe
You touched on something important here. One of the things I _really_ liked about FF was the _lack_ of profile information, including pictures for many people. People here are judged on the content they write and the comments and likes they contribute. Good people that communicate well and behave respectfully get more amplification. There's no accounting for attractiveness, location, gender, race, etc. in deciding to follow somebody with a picture of a squirrel for their photo, and I thought that was awesome. - Brian Johns
Well said, Brian. - Micah
Was it a purple squirrel? - Joe
Proof that he wears shoes! http://friendfeed.com/louisgr... - Joe
Akiva is male? You know more than I do. - walt crawford
I met him. It was horrifying. The web must never show his face. - Louis Gray
Oh I see, you tryin' to keep him all to yo-self. Nuh-uh. - Micah
Personally, I can’t stand him. - Akiva
He's very human. - Just another Bubba
