louisgray.com: Shared Items Might Be Gone, but the LG Stream is Back - http://blog.louisgray.com/2013...
"With a cobbling together of a few products, and thankfully, the continued support for standards like RSS, I was able to reboot the "LG Stream", as friend Thomas Power has long referred to it, and you can once again subscribe to follow the posts I pick from my journey on the Web, getting a hand-curated selection from the land of tech blogs and beyond. And again, you can follow the stream in your favorite RSS reader or on Twitter." - Louis Gray
Cool. - Stephen Mack
I don't think I should pump LG Stream back into FriendFeed, given how this place has changed. RSS and Twitter are enough. - Louis Gray
Hmm. I've added the LG Stream to my Feedly, and I was surprised/dismayed that the stream is just the headlines with links off to other sites for the articles. Any chance there is some configuration to include the article in the RSS stream, rather than pushing me off to the other sites? I'm a lazy RSS reader - I want to read the articles from the RSS reader, not click thru to unknown sites with lots of ads, etc.... I suppose I'm causing the demise of the net with this behavior, since I almost never see any ads. - Ken Gidley
As an example, clicking thru to the article on the Yahoo! logo redesign took some 30-40 secs to load, I don't have that kind of time to wait around... :) - Ken Gidley
It should have the whole thing, Ken, I agree. Let me check. Thanks for letting me know! - Louis Gray
Ken, you're right. I don't see a way to make these a full feed, but you know I'd like the same. I'll keep looking. - Louis Gray
