I ended up there after a different message board I was on instigated a "board war" with the SDMB. I found I liked the SDMB better and have been a member there since June 2000. The other board is long defunct

Ha. I left that out waiting to see if anyone would ask. It was an evangelical religious board. I went through a very religious phase the last time I lived in Atlanta - I was miserable here, and a specific religious group seemed to be the cure. It wasn't, FWIW, but for a while there I'd thrown myself into it as much as I could hoping it would help.
