Definitely will use Facebook for getting word out about next event. Not Upcoming.yahoo because couldn't email guests and RSVP list poor.

Facebook is better but isn't Upcoming is better for geek events. Put it on both and put a URL to the Facebook one.

i find upcoming to be pretty stale for sf music events now. last.fm's events section has promise. Anyone that wants to work on a bay area music events site, maybe using the foopee.com database, contact me.

Eric: geeks don't use Eventful. Seems like lots of others do, though.

The reason I asked is that Microsoft is always pushing that for my user group, but I never get hits from it. I will move towards another service then, likely Facebook.

Links across is a good idea. I hope Upcoming updates their tools. Someone suggested Eventbrite too
