I thought that maybe I didn't close the door well. Checked that. Came back later and the outside of the freezer is hot. Something overheating. The inside is still cool, but not cold enough. Compressor running. Checked later and the outside was normal again. Now is going thru cycles of that. - Greg GuitarBuster

I read a tip to half-fill a bottle of water, freeze it on its side, then stand it up. If it ever thaws and refreezes, you'll know. - Andrew C (see frenf.it)
