My situation is different -- partly because I am in Canada. I have been self employed for 20 years with wildly fluctuating income so haven't been able to save a lot. I lucked out though -- the house I bought 30 years ago appreciated a lot -- I sold it and now have a modest cushion.

There's close to zero up to date books on computers, software, the internet, etc., in the local library. This has been true of all public library systems I've seen. A bookstore will have a lot more, assuming it's still in business. When you look for a book, the search system is archaic and stupid, in some ways less effective than card catalogs.
There are more books on UFOs than there are on computers, computer programming, and software combined. More books on horoscopes than on computers.

Assuming that it is possible to build a self sustaining colony on the moon or Mars, would it pose a danger to earth because it would be easier to launch projectiles from them toward Earth than it would be to launch projectiles from the Earth to the moon or to Mars?

Can employees of a sign shop with no work accept a Crowdspring job in the companies name, or are only individuals allowed to take Crowdspring type jobs? There's places closing up shop or firing people from lack of sign work and that might be a way to keep them floating.

Absolutely - there are many individuals who work full-time and use crowdSPRING on the site to build their portfolio, complement their income and because they like design and writing. There are also several agencies, small design shops and boutique companies on crowdSPRING. Take a look at Tory Johnson's Good Morning America segment from yesterday. She featured Tiffany Reed who owns her own design agency but uses crowdSPRING on the side and has not only gained clients but has earned more than $12,500 in 2010.

How can you use social networks sites, such as Quora (to pick a site du jour) to advance your career, if you're old and crotchety, spacey, not real well informed on much of anything, smart alecky, reclusive, overly emotional, and easily upset? Folk like that have to have incomes too, so saying we're out of luck is not an acceptable answer.
What good is paper.ly? What does it offer the viewer?
