"Well, it was much easier than I thought and just had to turn it on. You now have the option to email, print, Facebook, or Tweet a post."

"Thanks for the suggestion Frank; I'll look into that option. In the meantime, you can just copy the address and paste it into a Facebook post."

"Like you, I recieve a lot of email and likewise a fast reader (I've kept my inbox has been less than 25 messages for years). Been using Sanebox about six months and love it. It's particularly useful if you use the mail app on iOS because the folder structure actually works unlike when using Gmail's priority inbox. Well worth the price."

"Hi Faye. You haven't missed anything or done anything wrong. The community ran into some technical difficulties today and weren't able to open the registration. I put a link on the page now and they hope to have registration available on Saturday. Here's the link."

"The talk was given in French and I only have French available at this time. Since we have focused primarily on English-only posts, I am hesitant to post it."

"The practice of noble silence is usually determined by the retreat organizers at the time of the retreat. As with our practice centers around the world, we will always have noble silence from after the evening activity until after breakfast."

"Avalokiteshvara is the Bodhisattva of Compassion and Deep Listening. A bodhisattva is literally "enlightened being," one committed to enlightening oneself and others so that all may be liberated from suffering.
The chant is simply her name along with namo which is a phrase uttered when paying homage or respect to someone or something.
The actual words are "Namo 'valokiteshvaraya" repeated."

"Typically, we hold an annual summer retreat in Plum Village every year and that precludes a visit to North America at that time. Of course, things could change at some point but this is the plan for the near future."

"Much of what you hear are the translators into a dozen different languages plus all the children who usually come to the summer opening. It's a lively retreat. :-)"

"Indeed. It does happen from time to time. At least the words of Thay are reasonably good even if we can't really hear the questions. I used headphones and it made a big difference."

"Hello friend. Thank you for the question and the interest. At this time, we have been asked not to share the 21-day retreat talks online. That said, I will continue to ask and see if we can make this possible in the future. If yes, then you can be sure the talks will appear here online."
