Still miss FriendFeed. Amazing, it still looks busy, with everyone's feeds still being aggregated here. Unfortunately, I don't think anyone still comes here to read, like, or comment. Sad...
"The MBTI is fun and useful, both for understanding others and yourself. I took it many years ago, and then was pointed to a similar free online test. I don't know how accurate it is, but I got the same type both times: INTJ.
I provided my scores, a link to the test, and links to type descriptions here:

"Telling a creationist that evolution is not anti-religious, just his brand of it, isn't much of a negotiating strategy. After all, our numerous present day Christian denominations don't speak well of Christians having dealt well with differences in belief. Many Christians cannot imagine their religion without creation as the creation story is foundational to their belief in the origin of sin on Earth and hence, why Jesus had to die. A world without a beginning in creation is one born "red in tooth and claw" and not as a sinless, perfect world. Rather than sin destroying an idyllic garden, a beginning in evolution has God revealing himself to a violent and ignorant primitive people. Jesus' death is not a reconciliation of a broken relationship caused by sin. The Bible, rather than being an infallible handbook of history and law becomes an account of man's attempt to understand God, leaving wide open the issue that if any of it is in error, all could be. Instead of fact, it becomes..."

"I have been using Picasa to organize my photos on my PC. It has really basic photo editing capabilities, plus a few filters.
When I use my Android phone, it automatically backs up my photos I take with it to Google+ photos. The automatic enhancing is kinda cool and can be controlled. It has a bunch of other capabilities, as well.
I knew I wanted more extensive photo editing capabilities than Picasa offers for this pictures, so I uploaded it to Google+ photos. There were some quirks, but I think I still like it better than Picasa.
There is the extra step to upload the photos to Google+, but a WiFi SD card might include that as an automatic feature.
Biking *is* a pleasant diversion for me. Photography allows me to record it for myself and share it with others. Win!"

"Yes. Yes it is. :-)
I was plenty warm, though. I added the reflective vest so those driving with fogged windows have a better chance of seeing me. So far, it's working."

"As I walked by some phone booths today (actually, the same ones in the picture above), I discovered some stealthy occupants.

"Brett, unfortunately, Intel hasn't implemented such a system. The rooms' front walls are glass, which in theory means light shining on the carpeting in front of a room means the room is occupied. In practice, many occupiers (at least of the phone booths) like to work in the dark. I haven't found a good solution short of walking the floor.
The Portland International Airport has implemented a smart parking space availability solution in its short term and long term parking structures. Proximity sensors with red and green lights over each space highlight where parking spaces are available. Electronic signs at the end of each aisle and the entry to each floor inform how many spots are available. Good stuff."

"There's still quite a few leaves to fall. At least, there were, before last night's rain and wind. I picked up all the leaves in my backyard yesterday and there's a whole new crop of them today.
I'm looking forward to spring -- such a beautiful time of year. :-)"
