Portsmouth's got the history - warships, Victory, naval museums, Victorian forts - and the Spinnaker Tower, not to mention the potential for some of the best gridlock ever as it's on an island. Southampton's, erm, the home of Matt Le Tissier. And Benny Hill used to live there. Yeah, I think that's Southampton summed up. - Mark H
