O Noble Geeks, I've been reading up, and it seems like I could replace my smartphone with a ghetto cheap phone and a kindle. Am I reading this right? It really has free internet access?!
I don't believe that is the case with a normal kindle. But i'm not an expert on them. - Steve C, Team Marina
Kindle black and white version has free slow internet with a poor browser that does not work for everything. - CW
The 3G kindle has free Internet access, yes. I'm not sure about the Fire (which is probably the only one that would be worth browsing on, unless you were simply browsing for newspapers, etc.). - COMPLICATED MR. NOODLE
The only thing I need a smartphone for is to look up directions and movie showtimes, maybe a few times a month. I feel stupid paying $80/month for that. My phone is on its last legs (due to my constantly dropping it), and I'm wondering if I really want another one. - Lo
Ah, never mind. You need wifi access for any site besides wikipedia. Like I need something that encourages me to read wiki MORE! :P - Lo
